Textile Recycling

Curbside textile recycling has been temporarily suspended.

Town residents are able to recycle unwanted textiles and small household items simply by bagging them and leaving them at the curb on their regular recycling collection day. The Town of Morrisville is providing this new service in partnership with Simple Recycling.  The service is free to residents.

Simple Recycling will accept a wide range of used textiles and small household items.  The list of accepted items includes all types of used or new clothing, boots and shoes, belts and ties, handbags, hats and gloves, toys, towels, sheets and blankets, small kitchen appliances, and more.

White Goods Collection

The Morrisville Public Works Staff provides a white goods collection every three months.  The next White Goods Collection is Thursday June 11, 2020.  Items to be collected include washing machines, dryers, freezers, and refrigerators. Microwaves are not included in this group and should be dropped off at the South Wake Landfill (6130 Old Smithfield Rd in Apex) or at one of the Town's Green Day events in the Spring or Fall. Complete a collection form here, or call 919-463-7070 to arrange for collection. Requests must be received by Monday, June 8, 2020.

Green Days

Every Spring and Fall the Morrisville Public Works Department and our Environmental and Storm Water Advisory Committee put on a Recycling and town clean-up event.

The Day includes  the following activities: A litter sweep and stream clean up, used cooking oil recycling, electronics recycling, textile recycling and document shredding. The litter/steam sweeps runs from 9am-12pm and the other services from 10am-2pm. The event is held at 100 Town Hall Drive in April  and November.
