Currently, Crabtree Nature Park exists only as a parking lot and a multipurpose field commonly used for cricket practice. The Town of Morrisville intends to further develop the park and add new active and passive recreational amenities to the site to better serve the needs of Town residents.
The design of the park is expected to be completed in Spring 2021. Construction timing is yet to be determined.
The current concept plan consists of a new parking lot, a pavilion with restrooms and educational signage, a fully inclusive ADA playground, and walking trails and boardwalks through the woods with interpretive signage.
While we haven’t selected specific equipment yet, we are aiming to provide a multisensory and accessible experience. Our goal is to make this a unique outdoor playground space that all Morrisville residents can enjoy.
