The Morrisville Town Council adopted Ordinance No. 2013-092 which allows concealed/carry permit holders to carry their handguns on certain recreational areas, as allowed by NC State law. Other firearms, however, continue to be prohibited outright, and concealed handguns are still prohibited on certain recreational facilities (gyms, pools, and the like). The Town’s signage attempts to cover all points by specifically referencing the adopted Town ordinance 10-3. We find that most concealed/carry permit holders understand their rights. Town staff and police officers are always available to answer questions from the public.
