2019-20 School Based Programs

2019 Camp Cedar Fork  Junior Camp Cedar Fork & Camp Cedar Fork Senior

Experience the magic of Camp Cedar Fork Jr, Camp Cedar Fork and Camp Cedar Fork Sr!  During each session, campers will enjoy days filled with group games, arts and crafts, dancing, swimming, sports, field trips and much more.  Each week has a variety of activities, field trips and games planned for our campers. Campers will be able to sign up for clinics, which will focus on a certain skill and progress over 3 weeks. Field trips include trips to local parks, inflatables, ice skating, museums, bowling and much, much more! Camp Cedar Fork Jr. is open to campers beginning Kindergarten in fall of 2019. Camp Cedar Fork is open to campers  entering 1st- 5th grades in the fall of 2019. Camp Cedar Fork Sr. is opening to campers entering 6th-8th grades in the fall of 2019. Campers are responsible for bringing their own lunches, snacks and drinks daily. Camps runs Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm.  Each huddle will swim two days per week and take one field trip per week, weather permitting. Please contact the front desk at 919-463-7100, or stop by the community center on the Thursday prior to the start of camp to determine your camper’s swim and field trip day!  Participants will receive their Camp Cedar Fork Camper T-shirt at the Open House on Tuesday, May 28, 2019.

Open House
Drop by Cedar Fork Community Center on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 anytime from 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm for an informational Summer Camp Open House! Camp Staff will be available to answer questions and will be handing out Parent Manuals and Camper T-Shirts! Week 1 Newsletter and Huddle Assignments will be available at this time.

Registration Information
Registration will open February 1, 2019 for Residents and February 15, 2019 for Non-Residents.

Registration Procedures
A $25 non-refundable deposit for each session of camp is required at the time of registration.  The remaining amount (final balance) for all summer camp program balances is due by Friday, May 10, 2019.  If payments are not made by this date, your spot will automatically be forfeited and your $25 non-refundable deposit will be lost.  Registration forms will be available online and at Cedar Fork Community Center beginning January 9, 2019.

Online Registration
Registration is available online through our new system ActiveNet.  If your registration is completed online, a registration packet will be e-mailed to you shortly thereafter.  This registration packet must be completed and returned to Cedar Fork Community Center by Friday, May 10, 2019 or your spot will automatically be forfeited.  Please call 463-7110 for more information on how to obtain your ActiveNet username and password.  It may take 24 to 48 hours to receive your username and password.

2019 Counselor In Training (CIT) Camp (Rising 9th - 12th grade)

CIT Camp participants will be able to gain experience as a junior camp counselor (Counselor In Training), while still being able to enjoy the summer camp experience in a small group setting.  As a group, they will learn leadership, communication and teamwork skills. While this program will be a lot of fun for our High School Campers, it will also be a rewarding opportunity to serve as a role model for our younger campers and learn leadership skills while having a blast with other High-Schoolers!  Each week our CIT Campers will go on a field trip planned especially for them, such as movie theatre trips, rock climbing, and trampoline arena. Camp is open to campers entering 9th - 12th grades in the fall of 2019.  Camp runs Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm.  Campers are responsible for bringing their own lunches, snacks and drinks daily.  Please contact the Front Desk at 919-463-7100, or stop by the Community Center on the Thursday prior to the start of camp to determine your camper’s swim and field trip day!  Participants will receive their Camp Cedar Fork Camper T-shirt at the Open House on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

2019 - 2020 Early Arrivals Program

Our Early Arrival Program provides Cedar Fork Elementary students with a safe and exciting environment before the school day officially begins. Participants will do a variety of recreational activities, such as gym games, crafts, group games, playground time, and much more. We will start your child’s day off right with fun and energizing activities. The program begins at 7:00 am and releases participants at the school bell. Kindergarteners will be walked to their classes. This program is available to Cedar Fork Elementary School students.

Registration Information
The first two payments are due at the time of registration. Registration is available at Cedar Fork Community Center and online. Payments will be due the first Friday of every month. If registering after August 27, 2018, then fees are prorated.

2019 - 2020 After School Program

The After School Program is a safe place for Cedar Fork Elementary School students to laugh and play after school.  Participants will do a variety of recreational activities, such as gym games, arts & crafts, themed activities, sports, group games, playground time, cooking activities and much more!  There will be time and a quiet place for participants to do homework Monday – Thursday, if they choose.  Participants are encouraged to bring a snack to eat, as time and space will be allotted daily. All pre-scheduled Early Release Days are included in price. This does not include Early Releases due to inclement weather.

Registration Information
The first two payments are due at the time of registration. Registration is available at Cedar Fork Community Center and online. Payments will be due the first Friday of every month. If registering after August 27, 2018, then fees are prorated.

2019 - 2020 School’s Out Days

Join us for a day of fun and excitement when school is out! During the day children will participate in recreation based activities such as group games, arts and crafts, themed activities, outside play, movies and much more. All participants are required to bring a lunch, two snacks and plenty of drinks each day. Parents must walk participants into the Community Center upon their arrival. The fee listed is for one session (day).  Cedar Fork Community Center does not offer School’s Out Day on every day that WCPSS is closed. Please refer to the list of dates to see when camp is available.

Fees will increase by $5 one week prior to each School’s Out Day and online registration will close. Registrations will still be accepted at CFCC (as space allows) up to 48 hours before each School’s Out Day.
