Did You Know?
There is a very good chance that your neighborhood will be on its own during the early stages following a catastrophic disaster.
After a catastrophic disaster, citizens will want to volunteer to help. Without proper training, these people can expose themselves to potential injury and even death! Experience has shown that basic training in disaster survival and rescue skills improves the ability of citizens to survive until responders or other assistance arrives.
Morrisville Fire/Rescue offers Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training, free of charge! This program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills.
Using the training learned, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
CERT CLASSES have been held for this fall.
Class Date & Times for Spring 2020 will be announced next year
If you would like to participate, you must complete the background and application packets linked below and return to the Fire Department Administrative Office at 260 C Town Hall Drive for processing.
