Morrisville Police Virtual Body Camera Forum Set for June 15
The Morrisville Police Department (MDP) is incorporating the use of body-worn cameras for its officers. MPD will hold two virtual community forums to help inform residents of its body camera policies and procedures, and to discuss the new technology. The first forum will be held on Monday, June 15, from 12- 1 p.m., and will be conducted electronically via a Microsoft Teams Live event, while also streaming on the Town’s Facebook page.
To join the body camera forum via Microsoft Teams visit this link: https://bit.ly/30cXg9p.
MPD was approved for body cameras in the FY2020 budget. The community forums are designed to educate residents on the department’s body camera policy, what to expect when interacting with an officer utilizing a body camera, as well as provide residents the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the body-worn camera program.
Anyone who lives in, works in, or commutes through Morrisville is encouraged to take part in the virtual forums.
Residents can email questions for the June 15 forum in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org.
