| Yard Waste |
Effective October 1, 2008: Yard Waste is collected twice each month for every household. Green & Yellow routes are collected on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month, and the Red & Blue routes are collected on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. Yard waste will not be collected on the 5th Wednesday of any month, when it occurs.
Limbs and brush should be less than 4’ in length and 6” in diameter.
Items may be bundled (less than 4’ in length, 2’ in width, and 50 lbs in weight). Items should be placed only in clear bags or in specific yard debris brown paper bags. No solid color plastic bags will be accepted. Dirt must be removed from plant remains. Waste Industries does not collect dirt, lumber or wood, bricks or blocks, containers, planters, or any inorganic material.
Remember that this is a residential service. If a landscaper comes to your home, they are responsible for hauling away excessive amounts of yard waste. If you have a large amount of bags (typically over 25) that you have bagged yourself, it is always a good idea to call and alert Waste Industries at 596-1363 as soon as you can, so that they can be prepared to pick up a larger than normal amount. |
