Morrisville's Youth Advisory Committee is currently working on some programs and events for the teens in our community. We welcome anyone to attend our meetings.
Purpose: The Committee duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following list:

Investigate, implement, or assist with methods and concepts to improve quality of life for the youth population of the town. |

b. |
Coordinate youth events and activities. |
| |
c. |
Plan and staff exhibits at appropriate events to promote youth activities. |
| |
d. |
Create public information articles to be published in local new media and the town’s newsletter. |
| |
e. |
Promote the development of leadership and teamwork skills, community awareness, service, education, fundraising, recruitment, social and recreational opportunities, for the youth citizens of Morrisville. |

f. |
Review and comment on budget items related to youth programs and activities |

About Us:
Brittany - I am 13. I am going to be a rising freshman at Panther Creek next year. I love to play softball and I also play trumpet. I'm very social and have lots of friends.
Sammie - I am a sixth grader at West Cary Middle School, and a Straight A Honor Roll student. I am twelve years old and spend most of my time in the water for my year round swim team, RSA (Raleigh Swimming Association). In my spare time I love to go to the movies, play volleyball and lacrosse, and also hang out around the neighborhood with my friends.
Nathan - I am 12 years old and in 7th grade at West Cary Middle School. I enjoy sports, video games, history and medicine.
Anthony - I am 12 years old and a 6th grader at West Cary Middle School. I am an all around athlete with football being my favorite sport to play. I also enjoy playing percussion instruments. In my spare time I like to play with friends, read and write short stories. My family and I recently relocated to North Carolina from Chicago, IL. I am one of six children and contribute that to being a great team leader.
