The Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department supports three of Morrisville's Advisory Committees. 


Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Advisory Committee

Purpose:  To lead and/or facilitate the development of long-range recreational plans to be considered by the Town Council, suggest improvements of recreational and cultural facilities and programs, and to advise in the acquisition of recreational or cultural lands and structures.

Meets:  Last Wednesday of each month, 6:30 pm, 240 Town Hall Drive

Senior Advisory Committee

Purpose:  To promote the safety, well-being, and quality of life for the seniors of the Town. This is done by recommending programs and policies to be considered by the Town Council for implementation. The secondary purpose is to create public information articles of interest to the senior community, which should be published, in the local news media and town’s newsletters.

Meets:  2nd Thursday of each month, 7:00 pm, Cedar Fork Community Center

Youth Advisory Committee

Purpose:  Investigate, implement, or assist with methods and concepts to improve quality of life for the youth population of the Town.  Coordinate youth events and activities.  Promote the development of leadership and teamwork skills, community awareness, service, education, fundraising, recruitment, social and recreational opportunities for the youth of Morrisville.

Meets:  1st Mondday of each month, 6:00 pm, Cedar Fork Community Center
