Responsibilities
The Inspections Department promotes the safety of lives, health, and welfare of the general public within the built environment by the administration and enforcement of the North Carolina State Building Code, as well as local municipal ordinances for new or renovated construction related to building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades.
