Annual Operating Budget Report
This important communication device takes the adopted Annual Budget Ordinance to a greater level of detail in the following areas:
What factors influenced the budget
How the budget will be executed
What the departmental goals and initiatives are for the budget performance
What policies the budget will be held to for greater accountability
And much more.
Each year the Budget Report is submitted for independent review to the Government Finance Officers Association. The report must satisfy nationally recognized standards as a policy document, a financial plan, an operation guide, and a communication device. The Budget Office has received 4 consecutive Distinguished Budget Awards.
