Litter Sweep
(April 22, 2017, Saturday 9am-12pm)

Litter Sweep is a volunteer event that involves getting the community together to gather litter from the sidewalks, roads, parks, etc. Gloves, trash bags, safety vests, and litter sweep routes are provided for volunteers as well as light refreshments. The Public Works and Planning Departments coordinate to make this event happen. Fill out a volunteer form or contact Kari Grace at or 919.463.6194 for more information to get involved. Yard of the Season
(Year round)

Yard of the Season is a way for Morrisville citizens to be recognized for keeping well-groomed yards which increase property values and generally enhance the overall quality of our neighborhoods. The Planning and Zoning Board will select winning yards each quarter.

General Rules:
  • All residents in the Town of Morrisville are eligible to nominate a “Yard of the Season” or to receive an award
  • One residence will be selected each season.
  • Residents may not win more than once in a calendar year.
  • Only the front yard as viewed from the street will be judged.
  • All plantings must be living (no artificial plants).

“Grow With Me” Tree
(Year Round)

Grown with Me Tree is a program in which Morrisville parents who have a child under 12 months of age may receive a free sapling to plant in their yard to honor their newborn and commemorate Arbor Day. Pick up your free sapling at the Planning Department's table at Springfest on May 13th. No registration is required; saplings will be distributed on a first come basis. Morrisville Green Day

(April 22, Saturday 10am-2pm)

Green Day is an annual event held in April which promotes the natural environment, conservation and green initiatives. The event includes document shredding, electronics recycling, and the Spring Litter Sweep. Click here to view the event webpage!
