Bulk Item Disposal
Wake County Convenience Center
Bulk items must be taken to an appropriate Wake County facility. The closest facility is the Wake County Convenience Center at 266 Aviation Parkway. Their hours of operation each day are 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

If you are not sure if the Wake County Convenience Center will accept your drop-off item, please view Wake County Solid Waste Management Facilities or Wake County Trash Takers.

    Biannual Curbside Bulk Item Pick-Up

    The Public Works Department sponsors a bulk item pick-up twice each year, once in the fall and once in the spring.  During those two weeks only, residents may leave acceptable bulk items curbside on their regularly scheduled trash/recycling pick-up day.  This service is free to all Morrisville residents.

    The Town's fall bulk item pick-up week will be November 8-12, 2010.    Residents may leave acceptable bulk items curbside on their regular trash/recycling pick-up day during that week.

    Examples of acceptable items (all must weigh under 100 pounds) are:

    Examples of items that are not acceptable are:
  • Area rugs
  • Chairs, tables, sofas, and other furniture
  • Computers and hard drives
  • Computer keyboards
  • Computer monitors
  • Empty paint and pesticide containers (all must be visibly empty)
  • Grills (without a propane tank)
  • Lawnmowers (with all fluids fully drained)
  • Mattresses and box springs
  • Microwaves
  • Small appliances
  • TVs
  • Small scrap metal items
  • Building or construction materials (such as bricks, concrete, aluminum siding, old doors, fencing, etc.)
  • Hazardous materials (such as paint, batteries, motor oil, etc.)
  • Printers
  • Propane, oxygen, helium tanks, etc.
  • Tires
  • Treated lumber, wood, and wood pallets
  • White goods (such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, stoves, etc.)
  • Window air conditioners
  • Yard waste of any kind
