Town Council

The Town of Morrisville Town Council will receive public input on the current Town Hazard Mitigation Plan at 6:30 pm, Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the Morrisville Town Council Chambers, 100 Town Hall Drive, Morrisville, NC as required by Federal Emergency Management Agency and the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management. Meeting - Cary Town Council - Regarding Western Wake Partnership

The Cary Town Council is having a work session on November 18th at 4:30 pm at Cary Town Hall Conference Room 10035, 316 N. Academy Street, Cary, on the topic of the Western Wake Wastewater Management Facilities.  The purpose of the work session is to get an update on the status of the project permitting, design, schedule and funding.  Morrisville is a Western Wake Partner.

Wake County Draft Reassignment Program Released

The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) released the draft reassignment program for 2009-10, 2010-11, and 2011-12.  The Town of Morrisville has no direct role in school assignments - please direct all comments and questions to WCPSS. More information about the reassigment proposal can be found here. According to the WCPSS website:

"The draft proposal has been published on the school system website, so the community can review it and make suggestions. The public will be able to make online comments through Dec. 10. Assistant Superintendent Dulaney will seek public input during a series of five community engagement meetings:

  • Nov. 20 at Knightdale High, 100 Bryan Chalk Lane, Knightdale, NC
  • Dec. 1 at Cary High, 638 Walnut Street, Cary, NC
  • Dec. 3 at Wake Forest-Rolesville High, 420 W. Stadium Drive, Wake Forest, NC
  • Dec. 4 at Holly Springs High, 5329 Cass Holt Road, Holly Springs, NC
  • Dec. 8 at Broughton High, 723 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh, NC

Meetings will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the auditorium of each high school. The feedback provided in the community engagement meetings and through online comments will be used by the Growth and Planning Department to prepare a final proposal to be presented to the Board of Education on Dec. 16. After receiving the proposal, the board will hold public hearings and work sessions as they work to finalize the proposal in February."
