Early Voting Just Got Easier for Morrisville Residents

If you are registered in Wake County, you may vote One-Stop No Excuse (which simply means that you can cast your ballot at designated locations during designated times, prior to the November 4th election). This year, Morrisville residents will have convenient access to a location for early voting! Cedar Fork Community Center, located at 1050B Town Hall Drive, will be hosting an early voting site.

So why wait in those long lines on Election Day? Visit Cedar Fork Community Center or any Wake County early voting location to cast your ballot for the 2008 General Election during these days and times:

October 23 - 25 10 AM - 7 PM
October 26 1 PM - 5 PM
October 27 - 31 10 AM - 7 PM
November 1 10 AM - 1 PM

Here are just a few reasons why early voting is so easy and convenient:

  • You can vote at any of the 16 early voting locations throughout Wake County.
  • With day, evening, and weekend voting hours, early voting fits your schedule.
  • Moved recently? We can update your address at the early voting site right before you vote.
  • Miss the voter registration deadline? Qualified voters can register and vote at the same time at early voting sites.

Not sure if you are registered? Check your voter registration status, read more about the voting process, and find the locations of all 16 early voting sites online at www.wakevotesearly.com. Voting for all elections are organized and conducted by the Wake County Board of Elections, located in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Town Council is comprised of the Mayor, one Council Member from Districts 1-4 (must live in the district for which they are running), and two At-Large members (who can live in any district).

The term “district” may mislead some into believing they only vote for one Council Member. It is important to remember that Morrisville voters have the responsibility of electing every member of the Council, not just the Council Member who represents the district in which they reside.

All elections are conducted by the Wake County Board of Elections.  Voter registration applications (including address changes), may be picked up at Town Hall.  If you are not a registered voter in Morrisville, you will not be eligible to vote for the Town Council. Once you recieve your voter registration card, check the back for the location at which you will cast your vote. You can also check your registration status on the Board of Elections website.

Make your voice heard at the polls, however you choose to vote. For more information on the voting process, visit the Wake County Board of Elections at www.wakegov.com/general/elections.
