The Town Clerk serves as the keeper of all public records, in accordance with the North Carolina State Statutes.  The Town of Morrisville strives to maintain an open and transparent government.  This is accomplished in many ways, starting here on our website.

Meeting Minutes

Town Council meeting minutes are posted on our website as soon as they are approved by the Council. The electronic files date back to 1999.  Older files are kept at Town Hall, and are available to the public at any time. Copies of audio recording of meetings can be requested for recent meetings.

Public Records Retention Policy

Our staff and Council follow a Public Records Retention Policy, which clearly outlines what types of records should be preserved, how long they must be preserved, and how they should be destroyed at the end of their usefulness.

Public Records Requests

It is a goal of Morrisville staff to respond to Public Records Requests as quickly as possible, averaging 12 working days for completion.
