Long Range Financial Plan
Morrisville’s budget is created with the help of a tool called the Long Range Financial Plan (LRFP/CIP). This is a multi-year plan that aids the organization to achieve a long-term financial goal of sustainability and serves the main financial goals of flexibility, efficiency, risk managment, sufficiency and credibilty. Specifically the LRFP/CIP is designed to meet the following purposes:
- Build awareness of the results of projections with current operating and capital spending and funding levels.
- Assist the Town is determing the extent of its financial challenges with key decisions.
- Generate discussion on the key financial goals and strategies that should guide future budget planning.
- Spur the development of actions in future business plans that would respond to the long-term strategies.
- Be a foundation to our annual budget process.
